Host Kelowna Skating Club Sweeps Provincial Pre-Juvenile Competition

A sweep of the Pre-Juvenile under-11 competition by three of its members highlighted the performance of the host Kelowna Skating Club at the B.C. Super Series STARSkate final on the weekend.

Brooklyn Cowen, 10, led the charge at the CNC with a personal-best score of 29.75 to capture the gold medal, while Malayna Lesko claimed the silver with a PB of 29.31. Emily Sales of the KSC won the bronze.

Lesko, Cowen, and Sales also finished 1-2-3 respectively in the overall provincial Super Series season standings.

Paige Edgar also struck gold, winning the STAR4 girls Group 2 event, while Kelowna’s Aurora Schultz skated to a personal best score of 18.25 points in the STAR5 U13 division.

Her training mate, Zoe Wu, finished in sixth on the weekend, but placed third overall in the Super Series standings.
