The Crows earned the right to defend their third division title by defeating the visiting Simon Fraser University Highlanders 45-3 at Parkinson Sportsfields on Saturday. Westshore (formerly the Velox) advanced to their second straight BCRU final by defeating the Brit Lions RFC 7-3.

A dominant force leading up to Saturday’s semi, the Crows won all eight regular-season games, averaging 58 points per game and allowing just five points per game.

The Crows advanced to Saturday’s semifinal against SFU by trouncing Kamloops 72-3 in quarter-final play a week earlier, while SFU defeated Capilano 20-6 for the right to travel to Kelowna.

Meanwhile, in women’s Division 1 rugby, the fourth-place Kelowna Crows fell 53-0 to first-place United (12-1) on Saturday in semifinal play.
