Armstrong Shamrocks take home Rowcliffe Cup

The Armstrong Shamrocks have taken home the 2016 Rowcliffe Cup for the second year in a row.

On Aug. 5, The Shamrocks and the Kelowna Raiders went head-to-head and the Shamrocks came out on top.

The raiders never gave up and forced overtime with a tying goal with less than two minutes on the clock. The Shamrocks scored, which meant taking the second, best of three, playoff games to land them the cup for the second time in two years.

Scoring for Kelowna was Pho Heng with two and singles from Vic Wiens, Joe Brown, Jared MacLennan and Jacob Illichmann.

For the Shamrocks, Craig Bigsby and Kyle Versteeg each scored two and singles were from Nolan Frame, Carston Schlaak, Jamie Cockerill and Steve Clark.
