Immaculata clinches early in senior A boys high school soccer

A 5-1 win over the host Kelowna Christian School Knights clinched a Central Okanagan senior A boys soccer league title for the Immaculata Mustangs on Monday.

The Mustangs’ 3-0 record early in the short season assured them of a berth at the Okanagan Valley championship tournament to be played Oct. 20-21 in Penticton. The provincial championship is set for Nov. 7-9 at Southridge Secondary School in Surrey.

Nathan Holroyd, Josh Misfeldt, Ben Prehofer, Jacob Macdonnell and Patrick Donovan scored for Immaculata in the win over KCS that improved the Mustangs’ overall record (including tournaments) to 8-2.

Fourth-place finishers among 16 teams at a tournament in Kamloops recently, Immaculata is in Vancouver this week for the B.C. Catholic championship event.
