In their fifth consecutive trip to the Canada West postseason, the Heat women will take on the Calgary Dinos, who finished just one spot above them in the standings at the end of the regular season, in a best-of-three Quarter-final matchup.

The winner of the best-of-three will travel to the University of Alberta to play in the Canada West Final Four (March 10-11, 2017).

Having won three of their final four matches to finish the season, the Heat are heading into the playoffs on a high note. Their final match, a 3-0 victory over MacEwan at home on Seniors Night, saw the team at their most confident and consistent.

UBCO has a winning record on the road this year (6-5) while at home are (9-4) with all five road losses coming to playoff teams.

In 2013/14 the Heat were the visiting underdogs and got the win in Brandon. UBC Okanagan went to Manitoba as the 7th seed and Brandon was the Canada West #2.
