The Kelowna Raiders went head to head against the Armstrong Sr. Shamrocks on Friday night at the Nor-Val Arena.
The Kelowna Raiders could not contain Sr. A-rated player, Brett Hawrey, in the third period to succumb to the Shamrocks after keeping the game tied midway into the third period.

All evening Kelowna’s goalie, Tanner Belsham, shut down Armstrong’s big shooters with a solid performance backed up by a great defence. Between Hawrey’s five-goal performance and teammate, Kyle Versteeg’s, four-goal display, the pair accounted for nine of the 12 goals scored. Other markers came from Milan Marcetta with two and a single from Cam Nelson. For the Raiders it was a stellar performance from Ryan Lindstrom with a hat trick, captain Jacob Illichmann with a pair and singles from Joe Brown, Kyle Scott, Nick Evans, Mitch Brodt and Junior call-up Dakota Grisner.

Final score was 12-10 for Armstrong.

The two teams battle it out again this coming week, on June 2nd at the Kelowna Memorial Arena.
