Regarding the critical penalty, coach Buono said he "sure would like to get an explanation on why that was considered a horse collar tackle," he said in a post-game interview.

In the end, Calgary took the win against the BC Lions with a 21-17 finish.

More than 20, 000 people were in the stands on Friday night. Many of the BC Lions fans turned to Twitter to hash out the controversial call.

Besides the controversial call, coach Buono gave an honest critic of the game, saying that the Lions didn't always "capitalize on opportunities."

While they made some great plays, he suggested they needed to be more disciplined in order to beat a top team like Calgary.

"You want to win against good teams, you gotta be disciplined," he said.
