With the walk-off home run, O'Neill joined some special company as the sixth Canadian-born MLB player to record multiple seasons with 30 or more home runs.
The Burnaby native previously hit 34 home runs in 2021 with the St. Louis Cardinals.

O'Neill made headlines on the first day of the 2024 season when he hit his fifth consecutive opening-day home run, an MLB record.
The Boston Red Sox are currently four-and-a-half games back of a wild card spot in the playoffs and will look to extend their season with less than 20 games left on their regular season schedule.
