This past weekend, Big White Ski Club and Sun Peaks Ski Resort hosted the U12 Zone Race competition.

From Jan. 13 to 14, the Big White Ski Team participated in the event and they were nothing short of impressive!

The weekend was filled with some very stiff competitors from all over the Okanagan, but that didn’t stop the team from pushing themselves.

The U12 females have a great start to the season with Kelowna’s Liv Willoughby placing first and second on the podium in the GS Races. She also placed first and third in the SL races.

Taryn Schrock earned third place in her GS Race and had top 10 finishes on her second GS Race and in both of the SL races.

Kael Oberlander from Big White earned a 10th place finish in the first GS Race.

New members of the Big White Ski Team includes Tyler Komposch and Oliver Baron, both from Bermuda.

The team competed against clubs from Apex, Revelstoke, Smithers, Sun Peaks and Vernon.

Next up the team participates in the second annual Intercontinental Cup which will take place at Big White Ski Resort on Jan. 20.
