Canucks protect 11 players ahead of Wednesday's NHL Expansion Draft

The Vancouver Canucks released their list of protected players ahead of the upcoming NHL Expansion Draft on Wednesday. 

According to the NHL, Vancouver has protected one goalie, three forwards and seven forwards, meaning they can't be stolen by the Seattle Kraken. 

The list of protected players includes Brock Boeser, Jason Dickinson, Bo Horvat, JT Miller, Tyler Motte, Tanner Pearson, Elias Pettersson, Olli Juolevi, Tyler Meyers, Nate Schmidt and Thatcher Demko. 

Most insiders believe the Kraken have their eyes on five potential players from the Canucks.

This includes goaltender Brayden Holtby, forwards Matthew Highmore, Jonah Gadjovich, Zack MacEwan and former Kelowna Rocket Kole Lind.
