The quest for the Stanley Cup is underway and two Canadian teams are in action Sunday, including the Vancouver Canucks.

The Canucks are to play their first home playoff game in nine years as they take on the Nashville Predators in the first round.

This is the second time these two teams have squared off in the postseason, with the first occasion occurring on Vancouver's magical run in 2011.

Puck drop for the Canucks and Predators game is at 7 pm.

Only two games were played on Saturday as the New York Islanders and Carolina Hurricanes got their series started as well as the Toronto Maple Leafs versus the Boston Bruins.

The Hurricanes prevailed 3-1 in their series opener thanks to a pair of third-period goals.

The Leafs lost their match against the Bruins as Boston cruised to a 5-1 win on home ice.

Also beginning their playoff journey on Sunday is the Winnipeg Jets, who are taking on the Colorado Avalanche.

Earlier today, the Tampa Bay Lightning versus the Florida Panthers and the Washington Capitals versus the New York Rangers series started.
