Kelowna AquaJets at Vernon Spring Invitational

Swimmers from the Kelowna AquaJets attended the Vernon Kokanee Spring Invitational Meet on April 7th and 8th.

Aiden Kirk got his name on the AquaJets record board over the weekend in the 50m and 200m back, 100m and 50m fly, and the 800m free.

Abigail Nicholson, Juliet Nicholson, Sam Vandenberg, Erik Wheeler, Noella Quadri, Jordan Meyer and Skyla Fuller all had 100% best times.

The swimmers had excellent races with multiple AquaJets placing in the top three. 

They include Dylan Cawley (2 seconds and 2 thirds), Liam Collie (4 firsts, 1 second, and 1 third), Sarah Courtenay (1 first, 2 seconds, and 1 third), Megan Forrest (1 second and 1 third), Megan Frame (2 thirds),

Ethan Gray (2 firsts, 2 seconds and 2 thirds), Sarah Gray (2 firsts and 2 seconds), Enrica Guidi (1 first), Emma Hawkins (1 third), Abigail Jerome (2 firsts and 1 second), Aiden Kirk (7 firsts), Noah Kruetzky (1 first and 4 thirds),Athina Merckx (1 first and 2 seconds),

Juliet Nicholson (1 third), Jacklyn Pengilly (3 firsts, 3 seconds and 1 third), Noella Quadri (3 firsts, and 5 seconds), Emelia Schwarz (1 first, 2 seconds, and 2 thirds), Kyra Sewell (2 seconds and 1 third), Ruben Stone (4 firsts, 3 seconds, and 1 third), Will Thorsteinson (2thirds).

Liam Wheeler dropped 22 seconds in his 50 fly. Kiana Johnson dropped 17 seconds in her 200 free.

Abigail Nicholson qualified for Tier 1 provincials in the 200 IM.

In Jamboree action, Emma Jerome, Kaylee Buckmaster, Keaton Semashkewich and William Jablonski swam their 200 IM under the 4-minute mark and have now qualified for regional swim meets.
