Kelowna fastball tournament showcasing international and local talent

This weekend Kelowna will be home to international baseball stars all prepared to demonstrate their skills on the King Stadium field in downtown Kelowna.

The Kelowna Major Men’s Fastball Association (KMMFA) is hosting the annual May Days International Men’s Fastpitch Tournament between May 18 and 21.

The tournament will feature eight teams comprised of international talent from Argentina, Mexico, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and the Great Britain National team.

Showcasing the local flair is the Kelowna All-Stars team led by Travis and Trent Kunz, Kyle and Chad Blanleil and Cole Leimart. The all-star team is comprised of the top talent from four local KMMFA squads.

The actions begins Friday night at 7 p.m. with the all-stars pitted against the tournament favourites, the South Hill Giants. Playoffs will take place throughout Sunday with the final championship game set for Monday at 11 a.m.
