Local cross-country skiers take names in Revelstoke

Local cross-country ski racers gave the competition a run for their money last weekend at the B.C. Midget Championships hosted by Revelstoke Nordics.

A total of 13 skiers from Telemark participated in the championships.

Team Telemark’s athletes competed against some of the toughest competition from B.C. and Washington State.

The team’s performance was outstanding, bringing home multiple gold medals as well as many podium finishes.

The Midget Championships are a great way to have fun and race against fellow friendly athletes.

Highlights of the weekend include gold medals from Aya Sentesy (Relay), and Finn Redman (Int. Start, Sprint); silver medals for the Snow Bunnies (Relay) and the Tacky Ties (Relay); and bronze medals for Sofie Steinruck (Int .Start), and the Bros in Bras (Relay).
