Rockets snap win streak with loss to Hurricanes

The Kelowna Rockets were in action tonight, this time in tough on the road against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

This game was all Hurricanes as Lethbridge won by a commanding score of 5-1. 

In the first, the Hurricanes got on the board in only two minutes thanks to Zachary Cox. Lethbridge would add one more shorthanded to head to the dressing room with a 2-0 lead. 

The second period only saw one goal, Lethbridge's Jake Elmer took advantage of Roman Basran losing his stick and potted home is 16th. 

In the third, Lethbridge would add two quick goals to make it 5-0. Liam Kindree scored late for Kelowna to end the shutout bid for Hurricanes goalie Carl Tetachuk. 

Roman Basran had a rough night in goal, stopping 32 of 37 shots in the loss. The Rockets went 1/7 on the power-play and held Lethbridge scoreless on the PK. 

With the loss, the Rockets move to 15-16-2 on the season.

Kelowna will be right back at it in Calgary on Friday, puck drop is at 7:00 p.m. MST.
