UBCO Heat volleyball teams fall to Bisons

The UBCO Heat men's and women's volleyball teams were in action tonight, this time taking on the University of Manitoba. 

Both teams played hard but were unable to come away with the win. The men and women pushed the Bisons to four sets each.

After dropping the first frame, the men fought back to win the second before losing the next two. Max Heppell led the way for UBCO as he had 18 kills on the night. Brenna Goski had nine digs in the game while Teo Ardanaz chipped in with six blocks. 

The women started strong but couldn't finish, hitting at only 12.2%. They would win the first set 25-23 but lose the next three 25-12, 25-16, and 25-20. Ann Richards was a standout for the women as she had 13 kills and nine digs on the evening. 

Up next the men and women are back in action tomorrow against the Bisons, tip-off for the women's game is at 4:45 p.m.
