The West Kelowna Warriors were in action tonight, this time taking on the Merritt Centennials at Royal LePage Place.

The return of stand-out Parm Dhaliwal wasn't enough to help the Warriors eke out a win, the club battled but would lose by a score of 5-4.

The two teams started out by trading goals, Merritt scored two minutes into the first frame before West Kelowna's Chase Dubois tied it up. Merritt would add on two more before Chase Dubois put home another to keep it a 3-2 game going into the second period.

In the second period, West Kelowna would tie it up thanks to Parm Dhaliwal finding Mike Hardman on the power-play. Dhaliwal would add one of his own to give the Warriors a 4-3 lead heading into the final period.

The Centennials dominated in the third, holding West Kelowna shot-less until the four-minute mark. Brendan Schneider would tie the game midway through the period and with only four minutes left, Brett Roloson would win it for the Cents.

West Kelowna's power-play was on point tonight as the team scored twice with the man advantage. Merritt outshot the Warriors 41-24 in the game.

Up next the Warriors travel to Vernon on Saturday where they will take on the Vipers, puck drop is at 6:00 p.m.
