The Director of SensibleBC, the campaign to decriminalize cannabis, is making waves as he has publicly announced that he mailed pot to the premier to help end the teachers’ strike.

Marijuana activist Dana Larsen tweeted a photo on Thursday showing a few grams of Purple Kush he mailed to Christy Clark.

“A few joints of Purple Kush could help @christyclarkbc and @FassbenderMLA resolve issues with @bctf,” Larsen said in the tweet.

Larsen said he sent the Premier the cannabis in the mail to remind her that legal pot could mean a revenue source of $200 million a year for the province.

Larsen is a former B.C. NDP leadership candidate and last year he unsuccessfully ran a petition campaign to seek a referendum on the decriminalization of marijuana in the province.
