Service starting to return to Shaw customers

UPDATE 3: As of 2:10 p.m., Shaw reports that customers are starting to regain service across the country. 

"We are getting reports that some customers are now back online. We continue to work towards full resolution of this issue."

They followed that up with this statement at 2:30 p.m.

"Progress has been made and the majority of customers are back online. Techs continue to work to fully resolve. Thanks again for your patience."

UPDATE 2: As of 1:20 p.m., Shaw says they're working to restore service across the country.

"Our network technicians are working to restore services as quickly as possible. Currently no ETA. If we get any further information to share we will post another update.  Thank you for your patience so far."

They added this comment at 1:50 p.m.

"Our broadband team is still working to resolve service. Thanks again for your patience!"

UPDATE: Shaw has now confirmed that this is a national issue and they're still investigating to find the cause of the issue.

"Some customers nationally may be experiencing an interruption to Internet, Television and Home Phone services.  We are investigating the situation and working to restore service as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

Original: If you're without your Shaw internet, cable or phone services at the moment, you're not alone.

The company is investigating the outage, which has affected large parts of B.C.'s interior region.

"Some customers in the BC Interior region may be experiencing an interruption to internet, television and home phone services," said a statement from Shaw. "We are working to restore service as quickly as possible and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."

According to users on Twitter, there are also reported outages on Vancouver Island, Burnaby and even in Alberta.
