Apple has revealed details about some of its new products at a promotional event in California.

Information was released about the iPhone 11, the seventh generation iPad, Apple TV+ and the Apple Watch Series 5.

Apple CEO Tim Cook opened up the series of presentations at his firm’s Cupertino headquarters.

The iPhone 11, Apple explained, will come with a 6.1-inch display and come in six colours – purple, white, yellow, green, black and red.

It will be the most powerful phone the company has yet built.

Also revealed was the iPhone 11 Pro, which will come with either a 5.8in or 6.5in display and feature three rear cameras.

The seventh generation iPad, meanwhile, will cost from US$429 and feature a 10.2in screen with a 3.5 million pixel resolution.

“The new iPad packs even more value into our most popular and affordable iPad model featuring a bigger 10.2-inch Retina display, support for Apple Pencil and for the first time, the full-size Smart Keyboard,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s vice president of product marketing.

“The new iPad was built to run iPadOS, which introduces powerful new ways to multitask, manage and mark up documents, use Apple Pencil and view more information at a glance on a redesigned Home screen. This new iPad with iPadOS takes everything people love about our most popular iPad and makes it even better for creating, learning, working and playing.”

The most talked-about feature of the new Apple Watch, meanwhile, is its always-on display.

Apple TV+ – the firm’s content-streaming platform – will be launched on Nov. 1 and cost US$4.99 a month.

Apple Arcade, spoken of as a “Netflix for games”, will be released on Sept. 19 and also cost US$4.99 a month.
