Well, that didn’t take long.
Less than 24-hours after communications giant Rogers announced its new unlimited data plan, both Bell and Telus have matched it.
On Wednesday, Rogers announced Canada’s first “unlimited” data plan with no overage charges.

The plan allows customers to pay $75 for 10GBs on the company’s LTE network.
After those 10GBs of highspeed data, customers can continue using unlimited data at no charge but with reduced speeds that still allow for simple browsing, social media, streaming video, and sending email and text messages.
The plan was met with positive reviews, so positive in fact, Rogers main competitors almost immediately offered the same or similar plans.
Bell Canada is now offering 10GB of highspeed data with no overage charges, but also with reduced speeds after 10GBs, at a cost of $75.
However, that offer is only good until June 30.
Similarly, Telus is now offering 15 GB per month for $75, but the plan is not “unlimited” and customers who exceed those 15GBs will be the usual pay-per-use overage rate of $10 per 100 MB.
The new offers are good news for mobile users, as Canadians pay some of the highest rates for data in the world.
