In this episode of Energized, Kayla Caruana joined host Jim Csek to discuss what costs she has incurred owning a Tesla for a few years.

The duo started their discussion by mentioning that the price to purchase the same model that Caruana drives (the Model 3) has gone done by $2,000 since she purchased her vehicle in 2021.

Caruana then dived into the topic by stating the purchase price was $51,000 before receiving a federal rebate of $5,000.

The duo noted that there is now a provincial rebate based on the income of the purchaser, as well as rebates on purchasing the needed vehicle chargers for residences.

Caruana explained that, on average, she used her apartment’s car charger nine times a month at a total price of $36 a month from June 2021 to May 2023.

The duo then discussed the price of charging their vehicles when on the road to Vancouver or Calgary.

Caruana added that the only maintenance needed on her vehicle in the past few years has been replacing wiper blades and filters. She also purchased a set of tires for the vehicle.
