If you're driving on the Coquihalla Highway Sunday evening, take the proper winter driving precautions. It seems that pesky Pacific winter storm is still brewing and in light of the snowy weather, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement. The statement encompasses the Coquihalla from Hope to Merritt, as well as on Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton via the Allison Pass.

Issued at around 4:00 p.m. earlier this afternoon, Environment Canada warns drivers out on the road that there might be periods of heavy snow Sunday evening.
A moist and unstable onshore flow will continue to pile the snow onto the Coquihalla summit and Allison Pass, said Environment Canada.
Snow fall is expected to reach up to five to ten centimetres Sunday evening, with the greatest amount of snow fall expected over the the Coquihalla summit.
The public is advised to take care while on the road this evening and check Environment Canada for further updates on warnings before they hit the highway.
