It looks like the stormy weather is continuing, with Environment Canada issuing a severe thunderstorm watch for the South Okanagan.

The watch was issued on Saturday, May 30th, and meteorologists warn that conditions could produce severe thunderstorms with possible strong wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain. “Fast moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle away,” says the watch. “Intense lightning is likely with any storm that develops.” Residents are warned to take cover if threatening weather approaches.

A severe thunderstorm watch has also been issued for Arrow Lakes, Boundary, Elk Valley, and the Kootenays.
