Where to get sandbags for Central Okanagan flooding

Sandbags and sand are available at various locations for Central Okanagan residents affected or preparing for flooding.

Sand is available for Kelowna residents at 1948 Lindahl Street, the corner of Richter Street and Rowcliffe Avenue, and at the Cook Street boat launch. Sandbags are available at the City of Kelowna Fire Hall – Station 1 at 2255 Enterprise Way until 10 p.m. and then again at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning.

Sand is also available for West Kelowna residents at Falcon Park on Green Bay Road, Casa Loma Beach Park on Casa Loma Road, and Pebble Beach Park at the end of Whitworth Road.

North Westside residents may fill sandbags at the Shorts Creek Firehall. Residents are asked to call ahead to make arrangements at 250-545-1195.

Sand is available for Joe Rich residents at the Joe Rich Fire Rescue Hall at 11481 Highway 33.
