With the aftermath of the heavy rain and flooding, many residents in the Okanagan have been impacted by the flood.

If people are looking to help, Central Okanagan Regional District (CORD) Emergency has a few suggestions.

"If you want to help your neighbours, that's a great asset otherwise we don't have a formal volunteer pool going but we have had a number of people that have decided to go down to the locations where there is sand and just help people shovel the sand into sand bags," said a spokesperson for CORD.

"This is really such a widespread event that there's sort of pockets all throughout the whole Central Okanagan where people might need help."

Several properties on Marshall Street are completely flooded and the water is rising up to their homes.

While some residents at the end of Marshall and Buckland are saying it's too late for sandbags, they're saying that residents at the other end of Marshall - near Rowcliffe and Richter - could use help filling sand bags.
