A 2nd storm system moving into the BC Interior today

The Okanagan can expect a snowy Sunday, with the possibility of rain later on in the day.

A second storm system that is bringing plenty of snow with it is moving through the B.C. Interior today.

Yesterday’s system brought up to 15 cm of snow across the region, and we will be getting more today with a second Pacific frontal system.

Snowfall is expected this morning and throughout the day, with a possibility of rain in the evening,

A total snowfall amount of 10 to 15 cm is expected over North Okanagan by tonight. For the Columbia and Shuswap region, 15 to 30 cm of snow can be expected by Monday.

Kelowna is expected to get five to 10 cm of snow today with rain this afternoon. Temperatures should stay near 0.

DriveBC is showing snowfall warnings in effect for the Coquihalla as well as the Okanagan Connector.

Roads may become difficult to travel due to the accumulating snow. Environment Canada warns drivers to prepare for quickly deteriorating travel conditions.
