It was a cold first half of the week, but it's going to warm up as we head into the weekend.

With the sun coming back out to play today, it promises to be a beautiful fall day in Kelowna.

"The sun will continue to shine over the next couple of days under an upper ridge that is blocking any weather systems from moving inland," says Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist.

"Warmer air will also start to move in, bringing daytime highs closer to the double digits."

Clouds will return to the forecast on Saturday and we could see some rain on Sunday.

Have a wonderful Thursday, Kelowna, the long weekend is right around the corner!
