COVID-19 continues to spread across the region and schools in the Central Okanagan are definitely not immune.

According to School District 23, another three institutions reported COVID exposures on Saturday. This included Black Mountain Elementary, George Elliot Secondary and Ecole Kelowna Secondary.

SD23 did not mention how many individuals tested positive for the virus. Those affected are now self-isolating and working with local public health teams.

"The safety and well-being of students, families, and staff remains our highest priority," wrote SD23. "Central Okanagan  Public Schools will continue to implement the strict health and safety protocols and procedures that are in  place so students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible."

NowMedia will update the story when more information is available.
