If you’re a little bummed out this week, we can’t blame you.
The cooler, smoky weather has certainly made it easier to be a bit down in the dumps and it doesn’t look like there’s any relief on the way.
“Dry conditions will continue through the remainder of the work week with no incoming weather systems,”said Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist.
“The stable weather pattern will keep the haze around as well, and daytime highs will remain in the low to mid 20s for Wednesday.”
That smoke has prompted an ongoing air quality statement from Environment Canada, warning people about the lingering haze’s effects on health.
If you can avoid the outdoors today, you’re advised to do so.
However, if you do have to be outdoors you may still want to slap on some sunscreen, as the UV index is still expected to reach a ‘very high’ eight.
Have a great hump day Kelowna, don’t let the smoke get you down!
