A pair of Okanagan ski resorts saw some snow for the first time in months on Monday.

Big White and SilverStar both got their first snowfall of the season, although it was only a light sprinkling of the white stuff.

Both mountains shared pictures of the snow, which has people already anticipating an early start to the ski season.

One Facebook user wrote, “dreaming of an early start to the season!!!” on Big White’s post, while another commented with “let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!”

Three exclamation marks seemed to be the popular way for commenters to sum up their excitement.

Even if there’s an early start to the season, that day is still around two months away.

Opening day for both resorts is currently scheduled for November 23rd.

The dusting of snow comes on the same day that Environment Canada issued a special weather statement, warning of potential snow for higher elevations this week.
