Fog advisories remain in place across British Columbia this morning.

Environment Canada said drivers should expect “near zero visibility” in certain areas.

The fog is expected to persist until midday.

In a notice, Environment Canada explained: “The atmospheric conditions are favourable for dense fog formation. The near zero visibility condition will improve in the late morning.

“Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.

“If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.”
