Heavy rainfall continues to impact parts of the province as numerous roads across the Lower Mainland are flooded and various areas have lost power.
In a post made to social media, police in West Vancouver warned residents of flooding, pooling water and popped manholes.
Footage from police shows a rush of water coming down a hill and carrying various pieces of debris.

Police in Langley closed a portion of a road because of a “possible sinkhole developing.”
“Heavy rainfall within the past 24 hours has compromised the stability of the roadway on 40th Avenue between 216 Street and 212 Street,” said Cpl. Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.

According to Environment Canada, parts of Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley expect to see 90 to 150 millimetres (mm) of rain throughout the weekend.
Vancouver Island is forecast to experience 150mm of rainfall along the coast and more than 250mm over mountainous terrain this weekend.
Parts of the Sunshine Coast and the eastern side of Vancouver Island can expect to see nearly 60mm of rain, with higher elevations potentially receiving 100mm.

The rain also impacted some polling stations this morning as several voting places were without power across the province.
According to Elections BC, nearly all of the voting places that were temporarily closed this morning because of power outages have since reopened. Up-to-date information on polling stations can be found online at this link.
