Just like that, the summer weather came to an end.

After it hit 30°C on Monday, it has steadily gotten colder in the Okanagan and now it looks like we won’t see temperatures above 20°C for some time.

Environment Canada's seven day forecast calls for sunshine and a high of 20°C on Friday, followed by a similar day on Saturday.

On Sunday, it’ll fall to a high of just 15°C with overcast skies and it’ll continue that way through Monday and Tuesday with rain in the forecast as well.

The sun will start to come back out on Wednesday, but the high is only 17°C.

Beyond the next week, The Weather Network’s long-term forecast calls for the temperature to stay under 20°C in Kelowna through the rest of September.

From next Wednesday through the end of the month, it’ll be fairly consistent with mostly sun and highs around 16°C or 17°C.
