Bust out those rain boots, some serious spring rain is coming.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for multiple regions including the Okanagan Valley.
A weather statement was issued for the SW interior. Potentially heavy showers with risk of thunderstorms is expected tonight through Saturday.

It calls for “an extended period of rain showers with a risk of localised flash floods,” which are expected to begin tonight.
The showers are also expected to come with “embedded thunderstorms,” says Environment Canada.
Although rainfall amounts will vary throughout the region, around 10 to 20 millimetres are expected through Friday afternoon.
Areas that are affected by thunderstorms, which includes the Okanagan, could see amounts in excess of 30mm.
Showers are expected to continue into Saturday, but Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist, says “signs point to warming and drying starting Sunday and into next week.”
That includes a projected high of 31°C on Tuesday!
