It’ll be nothing but blue skies and sunshine for the next few days in Kelowna, which will make for a fantastic summer weekend.

As NowMedia meteorologist Wesla English explains, we haven’t had a lot of heat so far this year, but Mother Nature seems to be trying to make up for that now.

“Daytime highs will be in the upper 20s or low 30s over the next few days,” English says.

“An upper ridge building over BC will block any significant weather systems from moving inland while warm air moves up from the south.”

Sunscreen hasn’t been at the top of people’s minds over the past few weeks, but you’ll certainly want to slap some on if you’re outside today because the UV index will get to a ‘very high’ eight.

Have a fantastic weekend, Kelowna, and make sure you’re doing your part to prevent the spread of COVID-19!
