It’s hard to complain about Kelowna’s sunny 15°C days when you see what’s going on in Edmonton.

Alberta’s capital received its first snowfall of the season on Tuesday, despite the fact that it’s still summer for three more days.

The snow started falling all over Edmonton on Tuesday morning and even though it’s a wetter snow, it’s still sticking in many areas.

Edmontonians took to social media on Tuesday morning to voice their displeasure for the most part, although some seemed to welcome the snow with open arms.

“I would have been disappointed if I didn’t get snow in (the) summer,” said @nininaut on Twitter. “With three days to spare, you did it Edmonton!”

Adding to the crazy turn in weather, the hottest day of the year in Edmonton was just 12 days ago when it hit 32.2°C on September 7th.

It looks like the snow could stick around for a couple of days as well, as Environment Canada is calling for near freezing temperatures and precipitation in Edmonton until Friday.

Here are a few of the social media reactions from Tuesday's first snowfall.
