Kelowna will peek its head above freezing for about half of Wednesday as clouds and fog move into the valley.

NowMedia meteorologist Wesla English said the day will begin with patchy fog caused by high pressure.

“We will see sun today as the temperature inversion hasn’t quite set up yet,” she said.

“However, with the warming air moving in aloft, an inversion will develop by tomorrow, and we will likely see valley cloud stick around for Thursday and Friday.”

She added: “Daytime highs will remain a few degrees above freezing today.”

The maximum temperature is expected to be about 4ºC.
