With the heat wave in the rear-view mirror, and more summer temperatures expected this weekend, today’s forecast is a bit of an anomaly.
Environment Canada is calling for cooler temperatures, with a high of just 21°C, and plenty of cloud cover throughout the day.

There is a 60% chance of much-needed showers, but that comes with a risk of thunderstorms as well.
The national weather agency’s forecast also calls for northwesterly winds to pick up this afternoon, blowing around 20 km/h with gusts up to 40 km/h.
Everything clears up around 8-9 pm and it will get to a low of 10°C overnight.
Looking ahead to the weekend, expect highs between 26°C and 29°C between Friday and Sunday with plenty of sunshine.
