It will be warm and windy to end the work week in Kelowna.

Environment Canada is calling for a high of 22°C today under mainly sunny skies.

And while it will be fairly warm for late September, it might feel a little chilly due to the consistent breeze.

The forecaster says you can expect southwesterly winds around 20 km/h all day long, as well as gusts up to 40 km/h.

Cloudiness will increase later this evening as it drops down to a chilly overnight low of 5°C.

Looking ahead to the weekend, temperatures will push 20°C on an overcast Saturday before dropping into the 16-17°C range under sunny skies on Sunday and Monday.
