Unfortunately, there won’t be any sunny spring weather to enjoy to kick off the long weekend.

You can expect plenty of clouds and showers in the valley today, with Environment Canada calling for 5-10 millimetres of rain.

However, it won’t be cold by any means, as it’s already 7°C this morning and the high is 13°C.

It may feel a little nippier than that as it will be breezy for most of the day with the most notable wind (20 km/h) coming between noon and 7 pm.

The rain is expected to clear up by midnight and we should see drier conditions for the rest of the weekend.

The overnight low is 4°C.
