The month of March is typically the second driest month of the year in Kelowna.

It is also the fifth coolest month of the year, with an average high of 10.1C and an average low of -2.0C, according to the Canadian climate normals 1981-2010 data.

March 2020 was close to average temperature-wise, but Kelowna received less precipitation last month compared to seasonal statistics.

As for precipitation, the Kelowna airport weather station recorded only 10.9mm of total rainfall and water equivalent of snowfall last month, significantly less than the seasonal amount of 21.6mm for the month of March.

Mother Nature’s April fool’s joke is that the first day of April will be cool with highs only in the mid single digits, but at least there will be sunshine!
