Expect some morning valley cloud when you wake up this morning in Kelowna.

A mix of sun and cloud is on tap this afternoon when the valley cloud dissipates, however, the Okanagan could soon see rain and second snowfall at higher elevations.

"Valley clouds to start today, and we might see some sunny breaks later. However, a system is going to start to push inland tonight bringing the risk of mixed precipitation to the area for Wednesday," says NowMedia meteorologist, Wesla English.

"Freezing levels will rise from near the valley base on Wednesday morning to about 1700m in the afternoon. A system embedded in the northwesterly flow will keep a wet forecast on deck for Thursday."

Tuesday's temperature won't improve much after the chilly morning, with a daytime high expected to only reach 5°C.
