The white stuff is coming to the valley.

NowMedia meteorologist Wesla English said people in parts of the Okanagan will be waking up to snow this morning.

But she added: “As daytime highs increase to several degrees above freezing and as snow levels rise, we will see all of the valley precipitation fall as showers by midday.

“However, high elevation mountain passes in the BC Southern Interior will see measurable snow and drivers should be prepared for winter driving conditions.”

Today could be something of a blip, however.

“We will see clearing behind this system tomorrow with the return of sun,” Wesla explained.

Environment Canada, meanwhile, has issued a warning of between five and 10 centimetres of snow in the North Okanagan, Shuswap and South and North Thompson areas.
