If you thought Saturday was unseasonably cold in the BC Interior, you would be right.
According to KelownaNow Meteorologist Wesla English, the region saw several low daytime high records broken yesterday. Kelowna, Kamloops, Clearwater, Penticton, Salmon Arm, and Vernon all set new record lows.
"A cool upper low over Southern BC produced chilly temperatures on Saturday, breaking record low daytime highs in several areas," wrote English.
Kelowna's record went from 13.3ºC, which was set in 1981, to 12.8ºC. Kamloops saw its record low go from 15ºC, set all the way back in 1923, to 13.4ºC.
Salmon Arm had the biggest change at 14.4ºC, which was set in 1971, to 12.4ºC.
Vernon's low daytime high went down just 0.1ºC to 12.4ºC, Penticton's dropped from 14ºC to 13.9ºC, and Clearwater shifted from 13.3ºC to 12.8ºC.
