UPDATE: Thunderstorm watch ends for BC Interior

(UPDATE: June 3 @ 6:12 pm) - Environment Canada has confirmed that the severe thunderstorm watch has concluded. 

While conditions are no longer favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms, rain is expected to continue overnight in parts of the BC Interior.

(ORIGINAL STORY: June 3 @ 10:27 am) - A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for parts of the BC Interior. 

The following areas are affected:
 

“Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing heavy rain,” Environment Canada warned.

The agency also warned of the possibility of hail, strong winds and heavy downpours that could cause flash floods.

It added: “Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!”
