Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Okanagan Valley

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the Okanagan Valley. 

Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon are all affected.

Environment Canada said conditions are favourable for the development of “severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.”

Shuswap, Arrow Lakes, North Thompson, Cariboo and 100 Mile House are also included in the alert.

It was issued at 4:42 am this morning.
