It may be bad for drivers, but fresh powder is always welcome at the mountain.

Big White Ski Resort has received more than 60 cm of snow in the last seven days, and are expecting more today.

The Pacific systems that moved into the B.C. Interior this weekend are providing all the snow you could ever want on the slopes.

The Big White weather forecast is calling for five to 10 cm of fresh snow today, on top of the 65 cm they’ve gotten so far this week.

Sunday is calling for light winds and a freezing level near 600 metres. The snow base is at 224 cm right now, and the mountain has received 6 cm of snow in the last 24 hours.

It’s -5 C at the hill this morning, with a high of -3 C expected for the day.
