Kelowna is waking up to rain and mixed precipitation this morning, which is expected to continue until tonight.

Wesla English, NowMedia meteorologist, says that the rain should ease up tonight, but will be returning this week.

“A wet start around the valley with rain near the lake and mixed precipitation above 500 metres under a flow from the southwest. Snow levels will rise by this afternoon to near 1,200 metres,” says English.

“The precipitation will taper off tonight with a break between systems Monday morning, however the risk of valley rain and high elevation snow will return Monday night,” she adds.
