Enjoy the blue skies and sunshine today, because it’s not a sign of things to come this weekend.

As this beautiful Friday winds down, we’ll get to an overnight low of -1°C with a chance of scattered flurries, which will lead into continued precipitation on Saturday.

Rain during the day will be bookended by light snow or flurries in the morning and evening as the temperature changes. It will be a similar story on Sunday.

The high for both Saturday and Sunday is around 5°C, while it will dip a little below freezing at night.

Check out the full weekend forecast in the video below.

Starting today, these biweekly long-term weather forecast livestreams will feature a photo of the day and the first one to get the spotlight was courtesy of Riley McNab.

The talented photographer took an incredible shot of Kelowna (two actually) from the top of the McDougall Rim Trail in West Kelowna.

To be featured in this segment going forward, either tag your Instagram photos with #KelownaNow or email them to me directly, preferably with “weather feature photo” in the subject line.

We can’t wait to feature a variety of stunning Kelowna photos and showcase the valley’s beauty as the weather changes from month to month!
